The 3rd Thailand-Malaysia Graduate Forum 2014
During the period of December 16-20, 2014, Kasetsart University in association with Office of Higher Education Commission hosted the 3rd Thailand-Malaysia Graduate Forum in Life Science, Food Science and Agriculture 2014 which is an academic collaborative activity between graduate students of both countries. There were 68 participants registered and participated in this 5 days event, as indicated below.

This forum comprised 1) Presentation form Keynote Speakers, Introductory Speeches by Invited Speakers, oral presentations, poster presentations and excursion. On the other hand, all participants felt most honored to have five leading scholars and scientists to be Keynote Speakers in related fields, as follow:

Current scenario of halal food in Malaysia
For the benefit of all participants and interested publics who joined the forum in each session, the Organizing Committee had also invite six outstanding scholars to deliver introductory remarks in each session. They were:

- Dr. Sheena Yin Xin Tiong, University of Malaya,
- Dr. Sujatha A/P Ramasamy, University of Malaya,
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ed Sarobol, Kasetsart University,
- Dr. Syarifah Aisyafaznim Sayed Abdul Rahman, University of Malaya, and
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Parochat Hongsprabhas, Kasetsart University
During the forum, all participants were divided into three groups to pay a visit to several faculties of Kasetsart University including Faculty of Agro-Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Faculty of Science to meet with students of Kasetsart University for their networking in the coming future.
Though the program of this forum seemed very tough, all participants still had opportunities out Thai culture. In the Reception Party, Kasetsart University students had two classical performances. The first one was Ram Ouy Porn or Well-Wishing Dance and the second one was Khon or Mask Dance. Besides, on the Excursion, all Malaysian participants enjoyed their visit to the Ancient City where they learned more about Thailand and her civilization.
It is inevitable to say how the success of this event was after the hard days of workings. Nevertheless, the friendship and better understanding between graduate students of both Malaysia and Thailand had borne fruits of success. All participants are looking forward to opportunities to work with one another in the coming future, especially, in any Student Mobility Programs and Joint Research Programs.
