On Thursday 8 April 2021 at Meeting Room on the 6 Floor, the Princess Chulabhorn Science Research Center (In Celebration of Princess Chulabhorn’s 60th Birthday), Building C, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University. There was a MOU Signing Ceremony between the Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD) and Yamamori Trading Co., Ltd. The Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD) has agreed to create a cooperation with Yamamori Trading Co., Ltd., therefore, the MOU Signing Ceremony was scheduled to be held on 8 April 2021 from 10.20 – 11.10 hours, and jointly organized a workshop on Molecular Gastronomy and Molecular Cooking from 13.00 – 14.00 pm. This MOU Signing is included as a part of the opening of Food Innopolis @ KU for acceleration and development of food innovation with a focus on building food ecosystems in response to the food industry of the country which involves building partnerships with the food industry both from the private sector and international.

  The event of Food Innopolis @ KU has begun with a report remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuvat JANGCHUD, Dean of Faculty of Agro-Industry and head of the Food Innopolis at Kasetsart University. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutkhet NAKASATHIEN, Vice President for Research and Creation and Acting Dean of Faculty of Agriculture honorably presided over to deliver the opening speech. After that the university administrators and all the distinguished guests took a commemorative photo together. Later, it was a panel discussion on “From Policy to Practice: Creating a Food Innovation Ecosystem and Food Innopolis @ Kasetsart” by Dr. Kitipong PROMWONG, President of the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), Dr. Akrawit KANCHANA-OPAS, Vice President, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and CEO, Food Innopolis Thailand, and lastly Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuvat JANGCHUD, Dean of Faculty of Agro-Industry and head of the Food Innopolis at Kasetsart University.

  After the discussion, there was a MOU Signing Ceremony between the Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD) by Dr. Phisamai SRICHAYET, Director of the Institute of Food Research and Product Development (IFRPD) and Yamamori Trading Co., Ltd. by Mr. Masahiro Aoki, Executive Director, who signed a memorandum of understanding between the two agencies at this time; then followed by souvenirs presentation and taking group pictures together.

  Food Innopolis has been operating since May 2016 and has integrated cooperation, expand networking to achieve continuous food innovation and to support research development and innovation in the country’s food industry. In 2018 Food Innopolis has joined in collaboration with government agencies, public and private universities, and world leading food institutes both in the country and abroad. Food Innopolis program has announced an expansion of the food innovation city project in 15 other provinces and has organized activities to drive continuous collaboration. Kasetsart University is pleased to support this cooperation in the fields of knowledge exchange, research and education, capacity development and knowledge of both parties in order to develop and innovate in the national food industry as well as pushing forward the development of innovative food products to market quickly with quality standards and meet the needs of consumers. It also increases the competitiveness of entrepreneurs in the food industry.
