KU joined in a teleconference on “Advancing Agriculture in Thailand”

  On 23 February 2021, in the IAD meeting room on the 10th floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Kasetsart University administrators, Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat PENSUPAR, Vice President for International Affairs along with Associate Professor Dr. Tanee SREEWONGCHAI, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University participates in a teleconference and shares as a speaker to exchange knowledge on the topic “Advancing Agriculture in Thailand and Application of Drone.”

  The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou has scheduled to organize a teleconference together with XAG, a leading agriculture drone manufacturer and agriculture technology company along with Thai related agencies on the topic of “Advancing Agriculture in Thailand.” The Teleconference aims to promote cooperation between the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: GBA to implement the government’s policy to create dynamics and attract corporate investment in the industrial field in the EEC area. By which, Kasetsart University is an educational institution that plays an important role in the development of the agricultural sector of Thailand including the application of intelligent agricultural technology. Therefore, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou has invited high-level representatives of Kasetsart University to attend this teleconference.

  After that Miss Natenapa KONGSRI, Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou honorably presided over to deliver opening remarks, followed by a Brief Overview of XAG by Mr. Justin GONG, Co- Founder of XAG. Today’s teleconference in the topic of “Advancing Agriculture in Thailand” has been conducted on the following topics.

Today’s teleconference in the topic of “Advancing Agriculture in Thailand”, has more than 90 participants attended the conference which 57 participants are from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives; as well as the participants who are representatives from agencies and organizations such as the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office, Thailand’s Board of Investment (BoI), the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the Office of National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, and Kasetsart University.
