A Collaboration Short Course between KU and FSC
Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University, Thailand, in cooperation with the Food Security Center (FSC) at the University of Hohenheim, Germany have provided a short course on “Handling and Processing High-Value Tropical products for improved Quality and Income Generation” during August 15th – August 19th, 2016. The objective of this course is to create awareness and recognize the importance of food security in a global society. In particular, this course includes lectures and discussions led by guest instructor, field excursion and laboratory procedures.
On Monday August 15th, room 2205 at 9.00 a.m., a FSC Regional Coordinator, Associate Professor Dr. Wiboon Chongrattanameteekul, Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture; along with Assistant Professor Dr. Wannee Jirapakkul, Head of the Department of Packaging and Materials, Faculty of Agro-Industry and Dr. Sudathip Sae-tan, a lecturer, Department of Packaging and Materials, Faculty of Agro–Industry gave a warm welcome to the participants and briefly announced the subject of the course and its goals as well as introduced the guest lecturer – Dr. Marcus Nagle, Universität Hohenheim, Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Tropics and Subtropics Group, Stuttgart, Germany.
