KU Signed a MOU with the University of Canberra, Australia
On 24 May 2017, 9.00 a.m. at meeting room 9 on the 2nd Floor of Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University, Assoc. Prof. Ladawan PUANGCHIT, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, together with administrators and faculty members from Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Humanities, welcomed Professor Ross THOMSON, Director of the Institute for Applied Ecology at University of Canberra and Professor Tariq EZAZ, Professor of Genetics, University of Canberra on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University to sign a memorandum of cooperation with Kasetsart University. Assoc. Prof. Siree CHAISERI, Acting Vice President for Research, presided over as the chairperson of the MOU signing ceremony.
After the signing ceremony of the academic cooperation agreement The Meeting discussed the development of academic cooperation (MOU) in order to foster academic cooperation in knowledge-sharing and joint activities such as exchange of students, professors, researchers and personnel, seminars, academic research and information, among each other. Accordingly, there are several areas that both universities can developed jointly, such as teaching in science and mathematics, agriculture, water resources management, mass communication, public health and nursing, etc. In conclusion, the meeting agreed to initiate cooperation activities, starting with a symposium to brainstorm for finding joint research topics in the near future.
