Workshop on a Joint Master of Science in FSCC

     Kasetsart University and the network of Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (University Consortium or UC) have jointly prepared the project proposal in a Joint Master’s program on Food Security and Climate Change or MS FSCC;  funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS+. Kasetsart University is an institution of higher education in Thailand that solely responsible of Applicant Organization to submit proposal for support from the European Union under the ERASMUS+ as well as the cooperation from the network members of SEARCA, UC and institutional counterparties in Europe in order to rapidly develop the educational cooperation between ASEAN and Europe.

 The MS FSCC has 17 partner universities consisting of:

      1) Three collaborative networks of ASEAN and Europe are SEARCA, IAVFF-Agreenium and AGRINATURA.

   2) Higher education institutions that are members of the UC network, including five Universities, namely: Kasetsart University (Thailand); Institut Pertanian Bogor (Indonesia); Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia); Universiti Putra Malaysia (Malaysia); and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (Philippines).

     3) Higher education institutions in Europe including SupAgro Montpellier (France), University of Gottingen (Germany) and BOKU (Austria).

     4) Higher education institutions in Southeast Asia, including five Universities, namely:  Prince of Songkla University and Chiang Mai University in Thailand; Royal University of Agriculture and University of Battambang in Cambodia; Central Luzon State University in the Philippines; and Nilai University in Malaysia.

      The workshop “Joint Master’s program on Food Security and Climate Change “MS FSCC Workshop” is hosted by Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand on 14 – 16 February 2017 at the Kamphol Adulavidhaya Conference Room, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University. The objective is to provide institutional partners in both Asia and Europe to discuss the details of the implementation plan of the project as Training tracks, Student support services for the mobility, Project management and Partnership Agreement as well as the possibility in establishing the (Double / Dual / Joint) curriculum together between Kasetsart University and the members of the University Consortium (UC) network. On this occasion, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President of Kasetsart University along with Associate Professor Dr. Ladawan PUANGCHIT, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Fernando C. Sanchez, Jr., Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB), Philippines together welcomed the workshop attendees.
