An achievement of Double Degrees in Foreign Language Teaching

      According to the cooperation between the two disciplines of Kasetsart University; Curriculum and Instruction from Department of Education, Faculty of Education and French Section from Foreign Language Department, Faculty of Humanities, together with the Curriculum Enseignement: C&E and the Métiers de l’Education et de la Formation (MEF), Faculty of Education, University of Montpellier. The project aims to produce teachers with the ability to develop the curriculum and instruct in 2 foreign languages: French and English. Therefore, the project for Double Master Degrees Program had been installed since 2012. From the first batch to the second batch, these make a total of 13 successful students of the 1st Double Master Degrees in Foreign Language Teaching between Kasetsart and Montpellier.

         The collaboration creates such a great opportunity to establish the international standards for Kasetsart University and universities in foreign countries.  The highlights of the program are as follows:

          – As the first program of Thailand and ASEAN countries that produce teachers who are capable of 2 languages, including France and English.

        – A program taught by the E-Learning system and teaching at Kasetsart University by collaboration between the Faculty from Kasetsart University and the University of Montpellier, also students traveled to study and observe teaching in France for 3 months during their last semester.

         – Getting a second degree from the University of Montpellier, which is a European degree makes graduates can apply for admission to study doctoral in all countries of the European Union (EU) as well as can work for the management of the Course Curriculum, teaching and training in France and English language, both the public and private sectors.

        On Wednesday 26 October 2016, at the Kamphol  Adulavidhaya Conference Room, KU Golden Jubilee Building, Kasetsart University, there has established the presentation of Graduates Ceremony on  Double Master Degrees for all graduates.  On this occasion, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President of Kasetsart University, presided over the ceremony to welcome Dr.Stéphane ROY, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, the French Embassy in Thailand, and Dr. Jean-Patrick RESPAUT, Vice President of Education and Academic Life from the University of Montpellier, honorably presented in the ceremony and awarded the degree diploma of the University of Montpellier, the second premise, to the success graduates of the two institutions among the witnesses of the Faculty personnel and their family.
