A group of delegates from the Ministry of Science and Technology, P.R. China, led by Mr. Zhao Xinli, Director-General of China Science and Technology Exchange Center, together with Prof. Yang Dong, a leading researcher from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS), participated in the signing ceremony of the MOU on the Establishment of the CHINA-THAILAND Mechanization Research Center between CAAMS and Kasetsart University on 11 August 2016 at Meeting Room 9, the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus.

         Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Acting Vice President for Academic Services led distinguished guests and faculty members in the welcoming session. The signing of this university-level MOU was witnessed by Prof. Yang Dong and Assistant Professor Dr. Sutkhet Nakasathien, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University. This was considered the first time that CAAMS signed an agreement with a higher education institution in Thailand. The two institutions share the same academic and research drive in agriculture, the backbone of both countries’ economy. The establishment of the research center for agricultural machinery based on this agreement will support such activities as academic research and exchange of students and staff, and thus will provide more opportunities to develop a go-to progress together.
