21 July 2016, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President of Kasetsart University along with the administrators and the faculty members, warmly welcomed the delegation and scholars from Hainan Province, The People’s Republic of China (PRC), the number of 15 members from 12 universities led by Mr. LI Yuenan, Deputy Director-General, Education Department of Hainan Province.

      The major purpose of their visit was to specifically establish academic cooperation in research and teaching resources between faculty members and departments; in the exchange of faculty, students, and staff; and in the programme descriptions of each university. There is a strong possibility for the preparation of the technical cooperation agreements or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the University level between Kasetsart University and these leading universities from Hainan Province of China.

        On this occasion Mr. LI Yuenan invited Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President to join the International Tourism Education Forum meeting in December 2016 at the Tropical Ocean University Hainan University in Sanya; further with strongly proposed the opportunity to develop a formal Signing Ceremony for the Agreement for Academic Cooperation (MOU) with the Universities in Hainan as well.
