On 18 November 2021, the International Affairs Division, Office of Kasetsart University organized the Online International Relations Network Seminar of Kasetsart University for the year 2021: on the topic ‘Foresight’, looking beyond international relations. The online seminar initially started off with the first panel session on “The Future of Internationalization and University Education”. This online seminar was attended by representatives from higher education institutions, international relations network, international development policy committee, and the Committee of International Affairs, Kasetsart University, students and the general public, more than 180 people attended this online seminar.

The program started with an opening ceremony of the seminar by Dr. Chongrak Watcharinrat, President of Kasetsart University and followed by a panel discussion on the topic “The Future of Internationalization in Universities” by representatives of leading universities in Thailand, including Associate Professor Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai, Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement, Chulalongkorn University; Associate Professor Dr. Surat Teerakapibal, Ph.D. Vice Rector for Administration (Tha Prachan) and International Affairs, Thammasat University; Associate Professor Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Acting Vice Preseident for International Relations and Corporate Communications, Mahidol University; Assistant Professor Dr. Chaiyan Jettanasen, Vice President for International Affairs, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs, Kasetsart University with Associate Professor Chamaipak Tayjasanant, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Kasetsart University as the moderator of the seminar.

Then there was a panel discussion on the topic “The future of university education” by representatives of students from 4 Thai higher education institutions, namely Miss Ranchida Phatthararuchi, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University; Miss Kanokporn Prakobsang, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Mahidol University; Miss Panramon Kanhasiri, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Miss Areeya Duriyaphan, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University with Dr. Varunthat Dulyapurk, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, Kasetsart University as the moderator of the seminar. The outcome of the discussion on “The Future of Internationalization and University Education” will help guide us to overcome challenges and keep up with the world.
