On 3 November 2021 from 11.00 -12.30 hrs. in the meeting room on the 10th floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University along with Associate Professor Dr. Anuchai Pinyopummin, DVM, Ph.D. Vice President for Kamphaeng Saen Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat Pensupar, Vice President for International Affairs; Miss Araya Bijaphala, Director of International Affairs Division and personnel of International Affairs Division attended the Online ISSAAS Executive Board Meeting to discuss with the participating members, representatives of ISSAAS Headquarter, and member countries (6 countries), namely Malaysia, Union of Myanmar, Republic of the Philippines. Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Republic of Indonesia, and Thailand.

  This year, Kasetsart University is honored to host the Online ISSAAS International Congress and General Meeting 2021 through a virtual conference. The primary purpose is to promote Agricultural Science and Technology in Southeast Asia. The Online ISSAAS International Congress and General Meeting 2021 will be held on 4-5 November 2021. The theme for the conference this year is “Transforming System and Strengthening Development for Agricultural Sustainability”

  On 4 November 2021, at 9.00 am. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, President of Kasetsart University and ISSAAS President presided over the opening ceremony of the Online ISSAAS International Congress and General Meeting 2021 and deliver an official opening address. In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Anuchai Pinyopummin, DVM, Ph.D. Vice President for Kamphaeng Saen Campus and the ISSAAS Vice President (Thailand), delivered welcoming address along with Prof. Dr. Kanju Ohsawa, the Secretary of the Society for Agricultural Education Research Board (SAEDA). Following by the announcement of the ISSAAS MATSUDA AWARD 2021, this award is to honor the Foundation President of the Society, Dr. Toshiro Matsuda, and to be granted to outstanding individuals or groups whose distinguished contribution over a period of time to the advancement of agricultural sciences and agricultural development in Southeast Asia is clearly recognized. The ISSAAS MATSUDA AWARD 2021’s Awardee is Professor Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Vietnam. Then, there is a Cultural Show Muay Thai in Martial Arts from Arts, Culture and Educational Innovation in Muay Thai Center, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus. The opening ceremony of the Online ISSAAS International Congress and General Meeting 2021 is moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Janejira Duangjit, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Agriculture.

  From 4-5 November 2021, participarting members join in presentations under both oral and poster on various topics. In collaboration with Kasetsart University, the Society for Agricultural Education Research Development Abroad (SAEDA) and ISSAAS is inviting all members to submit scientific abstract for oral and poster presentations addressing the following disciplines:

• Food/Agricultural Education and Community Empowerment/Agro Tourism
• Biotechnology and Innovation in Agriculture
• Crop Production and Management/ Ecology
• Animal Sciences/ Fishery and Veterinary Sciences
• Smart Agricultural System/ Machinery/Logistic
• Environmental/Energy and Waste Management in Agriculture

  On 4 November 2021, the program started with a keynote speech on the Topic of “Transforming System and Strengthening Development for Agricultural Sustainability” by Associate Professor Dr. Wisanu Attavanich, Faculty of Economics. Kasetsart University. In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Sukanya Rattanatabtimtong, Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus is a representative from Thailand attending to represent at the meeting.

  On 5 November 2021, the program started with Oral Presentation (online) and Breakout Sessions; and following by the Closing Ceremony (Online) by the Presentation of Indonesia Chapter (ISSAAS International Congress 2022); and a Closing Address by the ISSAAS Vice President (Thailand)/Vice President of KU.KPS. — Assoc.   The International Society for Southeast Asian Agricultural Sciences (ISSAAS) was established in 1994 to strengthen corporation among agricultural scientists in Asia, particularly Southeast Asia and to bring together groups of professionals from many different countries with common interests in development for agricultural sustainability of the regions to promote the progress and development of science and technology related to agricultural sciences through research, publication and convention.

  Researchers who are members of the ISSAAS network cover a wide range of agricultural-related disciplines, including agriculture, fisheries, forestry, industry, agricultural and irrigation engineering, veterinary medicine and agricultural economics for the benefit of the public, to be a channel for the development of academic cooperation between faculty members and Thai researchers with faculty and researchers from different countries and to promote Kasetsart University’s international reputation.
