KU joined Thai-UK World-class University Consortium
On 28 June 2021 it was announced that Assistant Professor Dr. Kobsak Wanthongchai, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, had been selected by the British Council Thailand and the Office of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, to represent Kasetsart University at the Thai-UK World-class University Consortium on the subject of Agriculture and Forestry.
The main objective of the project is to upgrade Thai universities to become world-class universities and to create cooperative relationships that facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge between universities in Thailand and the United Kingdom. The selected Thai universities will collaborate with universities in the UK and jointly work towards the advancement of the quality of learning, teaching and research with the goal of improving the higher education system in Thailand through human capacity development.
The Thai-UK World-class University Consortium project will take place July 2021 to November 2022. The first activity of the project is an orientation with the selected Thai universities that will be held on 09 July 2021. After the orientation, the TH-UK Consortium Member Meetings will be held four times in 2022—January, March, July, and concluding in November.
