MoU Signing Ceremony with I-Shou University, Taiwan
On Tuesday 22 October 2019, at meeting room 9 on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building at Kasetsart University. Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President of Kasetsart University along with Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak TAYJASANANT, Assistant to the President, and Assistant Professor Dr. Prapinwadee SIRISUPLUXNA, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Economics, Assistant Professor Dr. Apichart DALOONPATE, Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Faculty of Economics, Associate Professor Dr. Aphichart RODCHANAROWAN, Assistant to the Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Engineering, and university personnel join to welcomed administrators from I-Shou University, Taiwan led by Professor Dr. Roger C.Y. CHEN, President of I-Shou University along with Dr. Anna Warangkana LIN, Senior Consultant in International Relations; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between two university.
Hence, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT delivered welcoming remarks and gave an overview information about Kasetsart University, depicted the international acknowledgment of KU in term of Agricultural and Engineering research and studies. Simultaneously, Professor Dr. Roger C.Y. CHEN also gave crucial information about I-Shou University mentioning the similarity of both sides in terms of academics and university atmosphere, which I-Shou University emphasizing on the quality of life within campus.
Furthermore, Dr. Anna Warangkana LIN led to the discussion about the starting point of collaborative activities between two universities, suggesting on the Chinese language and cultural exchange program within 10 days for both student and personnel under the MOU. Moreover, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak TAYJASANANT also shared some experiences and impression during her time in I-Shou University when participated in “The Symposium on Reaching the Globe – Higher Education Collaboration across Asia-Pacific” on 26-28 June this year.
I-Shou University is one of a famous private university in Taiwan, established in 1986 and comprised of 9 faculties for both undergraduate and graduate programs with more than 15,000 current students.
