On 2-3 July, 2018 at meeting room 9 on the 2^rd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building at Kasetsart University, Assistant Professor Dr. Buncha CHINNASRI, Acting Assistant to the President along with Dr. Marco Wopereis, Director General of AVRDC, Dr. Nagaraj Inukonda, Director of Human Resources and Dr. Pepijn Schreinemachers, Acting Regional Director for East and Southeast Asia joined to made an interview of the last 2 candidates for the position of Regional Director of The East and Southeast Asia Center (AVRDC) replacing Dr. Fenton Beed, former Regional Director who had resigned after completing his term. Hence, the last 2 candidates (from over 50 candidates) who pass the qualification is Dr. Philippe Ellul, Senior Officer, The Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and Dr. Delphine Larrousse, Senior Program Officer Canada’s International Development Research Center (IDRC).

Kasetsart University had established the collaboration with AVRDC since 1982 and already had 2 regional offices located in Bangken Campus and Kamphaeng Saen Campus for research and development in term of vegetable and crop in South East Asia.
