Courtesy call by Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador

    On 4 April 2018, at meeting room 9 on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building at Kasetsart University, Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, Acting President of Kasetsart University along with Assistant Professor Dr. Ravipim CHAVEESUK, Associate Dean for Strategic and Organizational Development, Faculty of Agro – Industry; and  Associate Professor Dr. Parthana PARTHANADEE, Department of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Agro – Industry, welcomed 8 delegates from Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture and ASEAN Human Resource Project, led by Mr. Eiji HATANO, ASEAN Secretariat, Project Coordinator along with Mr. Takahiro KOSAKA, Japanese Expert and General Manager, Yamamoto Global Logistics Japan Co., Ltd; Ms. Melody Nurramdhani LAKSANI, Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture; Ms. Santi ANDRIANINGSH, Manager of the Goodwill Ambassador; Mr. Mochamad Rezza HABIBIE, Camera Crew for the Goodwill Ambassador; Ms. Kie INOUE, ASEAN Secretariat, Assistant Project Coordinator; Ms. Maria Octora YANTI, ASEAN Secretariat, Project Officer; and Mr. Deddy DEDDY, Interpreter (English-Japanese-Indonesian Language) the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

   In connection with this, the ASEAN Secretariat and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Japan have been implementing the “Human Resource Development Project in Food-Related Areas through Partnership Program with universities in ASEAN Region” since October 2014. This project implemented three projects at Kasetsart University by 2017 and currently has the fourth project from March 22 to April 4, to students of Kasetsart University and students invited from National University of Laos and Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia. The fifth project will begin next year.

    Previously on 4th April there was a closing ceremony of the program and introducing Ms. Melody Nurramdhani LAKSANI, who assumes the Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture in March by the Government of Japan.

    The purpose of visit by the Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture was to have a brief exchange regarding the project and its programs in Kasetsart University. This opportunity, both organization hope to gain further understanding of each other for future collaboration and new initiatives in Thailand, and also in other ASEAN region and Japan.
