On 7 July 2017, at meeting room 9 on the 2^nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center at Kasetsart University, Associate Professor Dr. Ladawan PUANGCHIT, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, along with Faculty Administrators, joined together to welcome the honorable delegation from Savannakhet University, Lao PDR led by Associate Professor Dr. Bounpong KEORODOM, President, Associate Professor Dr. Sitha KHEMMARATH, Vice-President, Mr. Bounthong SENGVILAYKHAM, Director of General Affairs and Cooperation Office, Miss Chitsouda SOMTHABOUN, International Relations Officer, and Miss Vannisa BOUNKHAM, Secretary.

  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss academic and research collaboration, staff exchange and scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral degrees, renewal of MoU agreements, and other topics including the future of collaboration between two universities. In addition, Kasetsart University administrators also mentioned the opportunity of thirty ASEAN Scholarships from Kasetsart University available for neighboring Asian countries; applicants will be accepted until 17 July 2017. Savannakhet University has expressed a gratitude to Kasetsart University for continuing the ongoing educational relationships and supports for Savannakhet University students, faculty and personnel in various majors such as the Agro-Industrial, Sciences. Forestry, Education, etc., and both institutions hope to continue to further develop other particular majors and disciplines in the future.
